Figlia di Coro
A chorister earns the title of Figlia di Coro by successfully completing the requirements of the Figlia di Coro (formerly Chorus Proctor) program. "Figlia di Coro" means "Daughter of the Chorus". This title is the highest honor that any member of the Girl Choir can independently earn.
Excellence Awards
Excellence Awards are given to the Primes Choir, Apprentice Choir, and Concert Choir members who best exemplifiy the combined superlative categories of musicianship, leadership, and character. Award recipients are chosen by the artistic staff, administrative staff, and Choir Mothers.
Service Awards
Service Awards are given to the members of the choir who lead and inspire others as role models in volunteering their time to support the Girl Choir. Award receipients are chosen by the artistic staff, administrative staff, and Choir Mothers.
Superlative Awards
Superlative Awards are given to members of the Concert Choir. The Concert Choir members themselves select the recipients of these awards through an anonymous balloting process. The superlative categories reflect the ideal attributes of a Girl Choir member. The award categories are:
Musicianship - The demonstrated ability of an individual to read, interpret, and perform music with a high degree of accuracy and sensitivity.
Leadership - The demonstrated ability of an individual to influence, motivate, and enable others to contribute toward the success of an organization.
Character - The honesty, sincerity, positive attitude, regular attendance, respect for and encouragement of others, and commitment to the growth of the organization demonstrated by an individual.
